NO S.P.A.M. 3

New Comer Edition

The rap game bombards us everyday with new artists wanting to get out their emotions, feelings, and fantasys through song, but amoung those new faces only a small percentage of them stand out, and of that small percentage only a smaller percentage actually gets heard. TPB Haze hails from Uptown New Orleans, and although he's a new voice that wants to get herd, he isnt dead set on making u hear him nor does he approach the game with the mentality to get rich or die trying. Get to know this young up and comer and find out why he's worth a listen, but even if his talents fall upon deaf ears, this kids gonna eat anyway.

The name TPB Haze..what's the meaning behind that name?
T.P.B came from one of my favorite rap artist,Soulja Slim. (T)rue (P)laya (B)oy & "Haze" sound nice when I put it in a rap.

Where u from and when did u 1st start rapping?
Im from UPTOWN( Yes all caps). Annunciation St. I starting actually rapping or writing when I was in middle school.

What made u pick up a microphone?
I rather not name names but back then there were a lot of rappers I heard & I was like "I know I can do better than that trash they're spitting".

Do u remember the 1st rhyme u ever wrote? If so give us the 1st few bars.
It bit don't spit cause ya know ya not it. Well I didn't make that up but I wrote a remix to it.

Who was the 1st person to ever hear u rap?
My Cousin Reese.

What was his reaction?
He told me I had that weird voice for rap and when my voice get deeper it'll prolly sound better.

How would u describe ur style of rap?
I call it picture painting rap..I know dats lame but thats how I feel sumtimes.

As a new rapper what do u feel is the hardest task when it comes to getting new listeners?
People taking the music seriously and actually giving a new person a chance.

R u a solo artist or n a group?
Solo. Its better to do things on your own.No worrying about depending on group members.

Do u get comparisons to other artists?
I rather not say the lies people told me. NEXT

How do u feel about the fact that pple compare rappers to other rappers, do u see that as an insult or compliment and does it interfere with the ability of a rapper to establish their own identity?
Half & half. Its nice to know you sound like a rapper that people like but at the same time it makes you wanna step your game up so they can't say you're just another so & so. It's Yes and No at the same time.

What shld pple know about TPB Haze the rapper?
Success has always been my goal rather music or just life period. Lets work and make not HIStory but OUR story.

Where can we catch up with u?
They can stalk me on twitter @TPB_Haze.Just joking.hahaaa

Mdot Cdot may = Monte Carlo but the rap coming from this 504 native does'nt require a Monte Carlo stereo to play. This New Orleans young gun is in possession of catchy, real lyrics that u cant help but rewind upon 1st listen. U may want to take a minute to get to know this dude because with upcoming projects in the works and completed projects all over the web, the M.C. known as Mdot Cdot isnt going anywhere anytime soon.

How long have u been rapping?
5 years

Describe the name MDot CDot.
I used to have an old school Monte Carlo, so people would call me M.C.,when I decided to start rappin I just looked at is Mdot Cdot hence M.C.

How would u describe ur style of rap?
I would describe it as reality rap..I rap about situations goin on in my life.

Do u agree with the statement "ur surroundings play the biggest part in what u speak about"?
Of course it does..but its up to you the artist to separate what your audience relates to.

New Orleans is filled with different styles of rap culture, where do u feel u fit in with the "gumbo" pot of genres so to speak?
I can say I fit in the middle, cause I can get on any level..whether its hip hop, rap, or even on a level for the females.

Any projects in the works as far as mixtapes, an album, or features?
My current project "Come Take A Ride With Me" is on iTunes and datpiff.com..features Dizzy, CrackTracks, Teedra Moses, Rizzle, Blue Rose, So Fly, and more! I am currently finishing up my mixtape "The Intermission", which features Rizzle, Red Greg, Freakshow, Dangafield, C.O. aka Black Ceza, Spitraw, Codac, B.West, Lyrikill, and more.

Are u currently looking for any features to go on 1 of ur up and coming projects and is if so, what kind of features are u looking for?(Wether it b another rapper with a certain style or R&B,etc.)
I am always looking to work with other artists not only just for the feature, but for what assets and talents they can bring to me..opening my creativity or even new listeners. I have open songs for artists I can send to see what they come up with..both rap and R&B..so if you wanna work just holla.

What is 1 thing u want people to know about u?
Im bout my business..money is the motivation!

Do u feel there are any misconceptions when it comes to the image of Mdot Cdot?
Maybe for people that dont know me..they may come up with there own idea of who I am..but the people that know me or I meet get a general idea of who I am and what I represent.

If we wanna hear more from u,where can we check u out at?
You can check me out on iTunes, Amazon Music, datpiff.com, of course www.mdotcdot.com
Thanx for the opportunity and look forward to working with you and your team in the future!
Its all good homie, u def gained a new fan over here at ufrontin.blogspot. We look forward to hearing more from u and posting some of it rite here on the spot.

NO S.P.A.M. 1

I've been following MandyLane on Twitter for a while and knew she did music, but never had the time to sit and check it out. How fitting that the day I had time to actually sit and preview is the same day NO S.P.A.M. was born, and it's even more fitting that she's the 1st posting. An R&B songstriss from Far Rockaway, NY with a soulful yet powerful voice that dominates the track, I introduce you all to Mandy Lane, become familiar but further more, become a fan.

How old r u..if u dont mind my asking?
I'm 22.

From ur voice I can tell ur not a new vocalist, how long have u been singing?

I been singing since I was a little girl.

U often hear from singers that they got their start in church, does that apply to u?

I grew up in church.

Ur bio titles u as a writer also, have u gotten the opportunity to compose for other artists, and if so who?

I would love to write for other artists.

Write for others, Write for urself, Sing UR songs..which do u enjoy most?

It feels good both ways, hearing my music from or another artist.

What is ur favorite subject to write/sing about?
My favorite subject to write about is life experience, knowing that my songs relate to other females, thats our bond.

What levels would u like ur career to evolve during 2011?
For 2011 I'm looking to network with more people to create a bigger buzz for me.

Who are ur influences?
Beyonce' and Brandy.

Of those influences, who would u most like to work with?
I would love to work with Beyonce' but Brandy is my favorite of all time.

Are u currently looking for any features or to be featured?Im looking for features and to be apart of someone's mixtape.

What is 1 thing u want readers of this posting to know about Mandy Lane that I mite have missed?
Im very passionate about music, it's my life, I cant see myself going in another direction if it has nothing to do with music

When can we expect a full length mixtape or album?

S.P.A.M.

The release of Kanye and Jay-Z's album Watch The Throne is something that's been anticipating for a while, and the release of their single H.A.M. is also something that's been lingering around the WWW. for a while also (dating back to October 2010). The release of said single was made so big that Kanye had art work created and released to the world via twitter letting us know that the song would drop 1-11-11.

The song produced by Lex Lugar (Hard In The Paint, BMF, MC Hammer), could have been something epic if it would've minused Kanye West. Kanye put less effort in his verse than a high school senior puts in class on the last week of school. It's reminiscent of his verse on the remix of Lil Waynes Lolly Pop being it that it lacked to excite the ear with cleaver lyrics within the flow.

In my opinion Jigga did a pretty good job at going H.A.M. on this Lex track, which pretty much sounds like his other production with the addition of some harmonizing opera sounding chick. Maybe Jay should've told Kanye to go back in the booth and re-work his verse, or maybe Kanye should've called his once long time friend Cam'Ron to ghost write his verse for him. We all know Killa Cam can hold his own in the booth on a Hov featured track. (Reference Welcome To New York City for proof)

I doubt their album will disappoint because as an avid Kanye listener and fan, he has failed to put out an album that is less than great, but then again this is a colaborative effor,t and the self proclaimed "God EmCee" has delivered some wack albums in his past, but as for H.A.M. which I refer to as S.P.A.M. (Sub Par Ass Music) because it disappointed to deliver on the hype, miss the repeat button on this one. I'm looking for a remix featuring Rick Ross.
