2009 gave us mad good music. It seemed like every artist came wit they A game wit they releases, but Sept 15 produced my favorite album of 09. Kid Cudi's Man On The Moon. It aint filled wit all that gun pop, body drop, hide from the cops and ill be gone til November type rap. This that regular nigga from not much who just wants to make it to a better life, party wit a bitch and smoke this weed music, and that's exactly what I can relate to. Not to mention a few night mares here and there to describe the mind state he was in growing up, which I can also relate to.
Ima keep it 100, at 1st I wasnt feeling this CD at all when I first got it, then I did my research on the Kid and I found this was him, he aint no hard core rapper who's tryin something different, he's just a regular nigga who likes to create music and got put on bc he had some hot shit, and as I sat back and really listened to it, I saw that this nigga was living just like me. Then I sat back, got drunk and listened the CD and it was a wrap from there. I put that bitch on and aint gotta skip 1 track, and every track hit hard..my kinda shit! Yeeeaaaa
Certified Hit in my CD collection is really all I can say to describe this shit rite here..this shit rite here nigga is that chillin, ridin music. U cant bump this and think u gonna get buck b4 the club, but u can bump this to get ur mind rite and get on that "otha" zone cuz it puts me on that "otha level" ev'time.
Favorite track Pursuit Of Happiness: Talkn bout chasing that good life, running into some obsticals but neva turning back and when pple start telling u what u need to be doing u holla back "fuck that" bc this is UR pursuit and even tho its not easy to get where u tryin to go u kno the journey is just part of the destination and once u get to where u going, its gonna be all good. Now if that aint motivation for that ass, IDK what is.
Im Young Twan and I fux wit Kid Cudi..Man on the Moon is my favorite Album of 09 and if u aint feelin the same, I could really give a fuck bc this is MY favorite, not UR favorite!
